VICHARTA SAMUDAY SAMARTHAN MANCH (VSSM)

This initiative is a bold and compassionate step toward empowering children and youth from Nomadic, De-Notified, and other underprivileged communities. The campus is envisioned as a residential education and skill development hub, offering hostel facilities, formal schooling, vocational training, and cultural preservation spaces.

In November 2023, Equirus Foundation the CSR arm of Equirus Securities Pvt. Ltd. contributed toward the development of Vallabh Vidya Vihar. This funding has helped lay the foundation for a transformative space that will serve over 1,000 children through two residential blocks, each with 48 rooms and capacity for 500 students.

Our support is part of a larger effort that includes:

• Construction of hostel buildings for boys and girls

• Development of a multipurpose sports ground

• Establishment of a skill development and vocational training centre

• Creation of a cultural museum to preserve the heritage of nomadic communities

• Infrastructure for libraries, amphitheatres, community halls, and staff quarters

Project Progress and Financial Overview:

As of March 31, 2024, significant progress has been made:

• Block 1: Flooring and door installations are underway, with second-floor flooring completed and first-floor flooring halfway done.

• Block 2: Outer plastering is 70% complete, plumbing is 80% done, and flooring across all levels is nearly finished.

Impact on Communities:

Vallabh Vidya Vihar is more than just a campus; it is a beacon of hope for children who have long been denied access to quality education and skill development. The centre will:

• Provide safe residential education for children from nomadic and de-notified tribes

• Offer vocational training to youth, enabling them to earn sustainable livelihoods

• Preserve and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of these communities

• Foster inclusive growth by focusing on the most marginalized groups

• Each child educated at Vallabh Vidya Vihar becomes a catalyst for change, uplifting their families and communities and breaking the cycle of poverty and exclusion.
