CII Energy Event

The CII Energy Department organised an Industry Interaction for the Renewable Energy sector with kanak vardhan singh deo, Deputy Chief Minister & Minister of Energy, Government of Odisha, on March 31, 2026.

Vijay Agrawal, Sector Lead- Infrastructure, Equirus, led the CII delegation. During the meeting, he highlighted various challenges faced by the renewable energy sector and shared several suggestions.

He recommended that for Pumped Storage Projects, the Odisha Government may consider adopting a model similar to Power Grid Corporation of India Limited by creating SPVs with necessary permissions in place, which could help fast-track project execution post bidding.

The discussion also saw participation from other CII members. From the CII Secretariat, Jyoti Mukul and Surender Rai attended the meeting. From the Government of Odisha, Vishal Dev, Secretary, Energy Department, along with other officials, were present.
